Inspiration From Our Race Directors.
Our names are Todd and Kristen Pfeil.
We live in Lincoln Nebraska, but a piece of our hearts is in Haiti. We originally traveled to Haiti over 10 years ago, and between the two of us we have been back 11 times. Todd has lead optometry mission trips, and Kristen has been part of a CLM graduation and summer camp in Jacmel.
We have been blessed with a daughter who is 12 and 9 year old twins. As our family has been processing through recent uncertainties related to the COVID-19 virus we immediately started wondering about our brothers and sisters in Haiti. HTF had the “80 for Haiti” campaign which provided food allowing families to shelter in place. Without access to adequate health care, widespread assistance will be needed for many months in Haiti.
We started brainstorming about how we could help. As an active family who has faced the cancellation of many athletic events, we thought about a virtual run. This would be a way for anyone to participate in their own city, as well as be part of a bigger community at the same time. This community could come alongside our Haitian family to support them during these difficult times. Therefore the HTF Timoun Trot was born.
This run is an incredible opportunity for all individuals and families. There are distances that allow for beginners and competitive runners alike to complete. Our hope is that this inaugural race will become an annual event. We are all facing uncertainties during this time of COVID-19 isolation.
One thing is for certain-we have an amazing God who is with us. We are so excited to see how God uses this race to create life-giving impact for Haiti’s poor!

How Does a Virtual Race Work?
You walk/run your event wherever you live
A virtual race is a race that can be run (or walked) from any location you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on the road, on the trail, on the treadmill or on the track. You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself.
When do I run my race?
We are encouraging everyone to do their race anytime over Labor Day weekend, 2021. You will be walking/running in solidarity with hundreds of others across the country.
Register now for the Timoun Trot and walk/run for the children of Haiti.
Join others across the country as HTF raises critically needed support for children in crisis. 100% of your registration fee will serve as a donation to create life-giving impact for Haiti’s poor.
