Following the devastating earthquake of January 2010. HTF’s grassroots networks enabled it to immediately respond with a full medical and humanitarian relief effort, shutting supplies and emergency relief personnel by sea that worked to save thousands of lives, stopped amputations of limbs, and provided basic humanitarian aid.
